The Process

As per our expertise we used Blender to 3d model and animate the backgrounds. We used procreate dreams to do the frame by frame hand drawn animation of the characters.

What It Was

The sequence starts in a setting inspired the musicians home town of Karachi, the dim lights and broken bus and rickshaw hold their own strange romance.

The setting was inspired by a romantic interpretation of the musicians home town Kararchi, with artitstic inspiration being drawn from Van Gough's starry night. The tone was made to be of this dream like quality, a setting outside of time and space where people can just exist.

The colour palette was kept cool leaning towards blues and purples to amplify the night air.

Narrative Structure

In these streets appears a singular girl, dancing her way through the space. she moves in empty streets as the home she feels that they are.

As the song progresses our character dances and dances until she falls down. Home is beautiful and yet sometimes so heavy.

When one has fallen it is important to pick yourself back up. She sees an arm extended towards her by this boy. she takes the arm and together they dance and dance some more.

Finally resting on the streets so dear to them, looking up at the Starry Night sky.

Expressive Commitment

It was important that the story and visuals evoke the feelings the musician was trying to capture in her score. this feeling of being underneath the night sky with the world at your finger tips, free in your being there in that moment. We tried to keep the dance choreography tp match that feeling, fluid and water like in how it flows. how that translates to existing with each other and the spaces we live in

Final Release

The work was handed over to the client who published it on youtube and her other socials to be received with widespread critical acclaim.
